The Whitehorse Planning Group on Homelessness is a new alliance between local agencies and service providers to tackle the issue of homelessness. Agencies represented on our steering committee currently include:

What is Poverty and Homelessness Action Week?
Poverty and Homelessness Action Week (PHAW) will emphasize the need for safe and affordable housing and will invite the public to make a connection between the creation of safe and affordable housing and a better community for everyone. YAPC has planned a number of high profile events aimed at generating discourse and action around the local need for adequate housing. As outlined below, events are scheduled for the week of PHAW (October 9 -15) as well as the week prior. We have identified primary contacts and suggested interviews for each day and each event.
